The main responsibilities will be:
Manage optical design and validation of the Optical stack of a defined product based on Forvia – FIS Surface Activation Division specification in accordance to Program objectives (Quality, Costs, Delivery, and Product performance) including:
1. Interface with Forvia - FIS Surface Activation OPT Senior Engineer
2. Report on a regular basis progress & roadblocks as well as technical risk analysis with the associated action plans and opportunities
3. Perform design of the optical stack of a defined product.
4. Ensure optical requirements are matching specification by performing simulation using corporate tools.
5. Lead optical performance assessment.
6. Perform optical measurements and optical stack validation
7. Interact with Mechanical Engineers to check alignment of proposed design with product architecture.
8. Apply Program Management System and Engineering Change Management base on Forvia tools and standards.
9. Support Engineering change management process.
Products address by the Division are the following:
1. Lighting (from Ambient lighting to Smart lighting)
2. Viewing (New way to integrate displays in IP)
3. Sensing (from Touch surfaces to Wireless charging surfaces)

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor or master degree in Optics;
2. At least 5 years’ experience in Optics Design within an industrial environment, ideally in the automotive industry;
3. Experience of the complete product development process;
4. Strong know-how on Optical simulations;
5. Know-how on Automotive Lighting products will be a plus;
6. Experience on CAD tools (Catia);
7. International mind set;
8. Fluent in English will be a plus;
